Policies & Practice Information
We are committed to providing safe, high-quality dental care in a professional and respectful environment. Our practice policies are designed to ensure clarity, fairness, and the smooth running of our services for all patients.
We encourage all patients to read these policies carefully and contact our team if you have any questions.
Appointments & Cancellations
You can book an appointment by calling 053 9422888, emailing info@goreydentalpractice.ie, or by speaking to our team at reception, we’re always happy to help.

We send a confirmation text message approximately 48 hours before your appointment. We kindly ask that you reply “YES” to let us know you’ll be attending. If we don’t receive confirmation, the appointment may be released to another patient who are waiting. If we’re unable to contact you, we will notify you by SMS if your appointment has been cancelled.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, we completely understand, we just ask for at least 24 hours’ notice so we can offer the time to someone else.

Please try to arrive 5 minutes before your appointment time. Unfortunately, if you arrive late, we may not always be able to see you.

Missed appointments may incur a €30 missed appointment fee. Repeated missed appointments may result in us being unable to offer further appointments.

Dental X-Rays
Dental X-rays help us diagnose problems, plan treatment, and monitor the health of your teeth and gums. They use a very small amount of ionising radiation, the risk is extremely low.

X-rays are only taken when clinically necessary and when the benefits clearly outweigh the minimal risk. Our team is fully trained to use the lowest radiation dose possible, and all equipment is regularly tested for safety.

Deregistration Policy
For optimum dental health, we strongly recommend attending for regular dental examinations, either every six months or at least annually, as advised by your dentist.
Patients who have not attended Gorey Dental Practice for a period of 8 years or more will be deemed no longer registered with the practice.
As we are currently unable to accept new patient registrations, we may be unable to offer appointments to patients who have not attended within the past 8 years.
We encourage all patients to maintain regular attendance to support their ongoing oral health and continued registration with the practice.
